In a student team, the task for this competition was to design a Kittiwake Hotel addressing the given context in 120 hours.
Kittiwake Kongle is a kinetic modular pod, inspired by the geometric beauty of the Norwegian pinecone. Its sculptural form is unravelled during summer, and floated out, providing a nesting site for sea birds. Each pod is made with recycled material and harnesses the energy of the waves to generate energy.
